Laser Setting Recommendations for Laser Engraving on Natural Cork
Select artwork that is high contrast black and white or with gray scale. In general, solid graphics work best on the cork surface. Vector images are ideal for laser engraving. Start with speed at 100% and power about 30%, then adjust the power up or down to achieve the look you want. Experiment with line thickness and solid fills to determine the controls for your own laser make and model, since they vary.

Product Specifications
Cork Top Layer - 4 mm thick 100% recycled, highest quality, medium to large grain cork from Portugal. No cheap sawdust cork is used, so you always get an obvious and natural grained product.
Hardboard Composite Base Layer - 1/8” thick tempered hardboard backing [made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified 100% recovered fiber]. Sturdy, durable, moisture barrier, smooth back.
Overall Sizing - The finished, combined product is 0.3 inches thick. The length/width and diameter sizes are ¼ inch smaller than nominal sizes, thus a 4.5 inch circular blank is actually 4.25 inches when finished.
Shapes & Pattern - There are over 500 products to choose from including various sizes available in three different shapes: Circular, Square and Rectangular. Pattern: Butternut (light, medium particle cork). Butternut creates a refined look, particularly if using more detailed, intricate drawings.
