The Back Story:
Giddy up! Cowboys and Girls on the Beach
Recalling scenes from yesteryear, Huntington Beach was the site for wranglers herding a hundred Herefords on July 26, 2007. Although there were forty riders, this was no time for horsing around. The mix of professional and volunteer cowboys and cowgirls moved the cattle for more than a mile, moseying down the beach in full riding regalia.
Sponsored by the Orange County Fair, the event also highlighted the annual U.S. Open of Surfing being held in Huntington Beach, California.
