The Back Story:
Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach has been a well known art colony since the late 1800’s. So many artists were attracted here, that by 1932 and art festival began. Today there are several outdoor art shows, including Festival of the Arts, Sawdust Festival, Art-A-Fair, and Pageant of the Masters. Main Beach is a year-round public beach featuring volleyball, basketball, a playground for children, and lots of sunbathing and playing in the surf.
About the Artist: Jim Krogle, a graduate of Chouinard Art Institute, has enjoyed an extensive career as an American Illustrator. He now follows his true passion painting the beach and surf scene he grew up with as a Southern California native. More of Jim’s work can be found on his website. www.jimkrogle.com.
