OC, Orange County
Orange County is a fantastic slice of the Southern California way of life. The Gold Coast with over 42 miles of coastline has led many to proclaim it the ‘California Riviera’. The area’s warm Mediterranean climate also provided an ideal location for citrus groves, which gave this area its name. It boasts some of the world’s finest restaurants and shopping venue and is known for its wealth and political conservatism, hence the saying “Behind the Orange Curtain”. (In reality, it is neither as uniformly wealthy nor as homogeneously conservative as its stereotypical image suggests.) It is home to some of the world’s most popular, family oriented theme parks such as The Disney Resort, California Adventure and Knotts Berry Farm.
