The Back Story:
Cannabis Sativa
Cannabis Sativa plants are tall (sometimes 12 feet high), lean, thin plants. They have a light green color because of limited amount of chlorophyll. The leaves and branches are thin, long and spread out. This gives the sativa marijuana plant a tall lanky weed like look. Sativa’s can deal with warmer climates and need more intensive light than their indica counterparts. Sativas have a long maturation period with some strains reaching an orange or red coloring especially on the buds during the flowering stages.
