Locomotives have always filled the mids of kids and adults with fascination and wonder. So much, in fact, that collecting model trains and railroads is among the widest spread hobbies in the world.
Trains have been around long before the steam-powered engine. Before the 1800's, trains where pulled by horses, guided along railroad tracks and usually traveling short distances to reach their destination. It wasn't until 1814 that a man by the name of George Stephenson designed the first steam locomotive called "Locomotion" to pull passenger cars. He laid the foundation for what would surely be a long track of expansion and ties.
