The Back Story:
Lombard Street, SF
Lombard Street in San Francisco is perhaps America’s most vertical yet crooked street. The steep, hilly throughfare was created with sharp curves to switchback and forth down the one-way hill past the beautiful Victorian era mansions. Some of San Francisco’s most upscale real estate sits on Lombard Street. This “Russian Hill” neighborhood possesses stately mansions even with the endless array of tourists pouring down the street every day. Lombard Street is alive with color from its many beautiful flowers and shrubs that are in bloom during the spring and through the entire summer season.
