It Must Be Happy Hour
Hooray for cocktail time – an end-of-the-day ritual celebrating life, friendship and the notion that things are better with a cocktail in hand. It doesn’t matter what time zone you’re in, because it’s five o’clock somewhere in the world. Just declare yourself there – in that interval of time we call Happy Hour – and lift your glass in salute to a job well done and a reason to relax. The Classic Martini for Two Fill a shaker or tumbler with ice and 4 oz. gin or vodka and 0-1 oz. dry vermouth. Stir or shake for 15 seconds, then strain into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with pimento-stuffed olives or lemon twists; a cocktail onion makes the drink a Gibson.
