The Back Story:
Bovine Brigade in Surf City
It was the Wild West revisited on the morning of July 26, 2007, when Surf City Huntington Beach became a Cow Town for a few hours. What a sight. The popular Hereford brown and white cows steered their way down the beach herded by local wranglers dressed in full gear, including traditional Stetsons and Southern Cow-lifornia tropical shirts. The event was part of a kick off for the Orange County Fair and also highlighted the annual U.S. Open of Surfing being held on south side of the pier in Huntington Beach, California.
