Made from eco-friendly recycled cork from Portugal and Spain, yet handcrafted in the U.S.A. The Steam Engine
The steam locomotive is a factory in itself, a self-contained industrial plant. It has a boiler which turns water into steam; it has an engine in which the expansive power of steam is converted into motion, and it has the machinery which gives motion to the engine. The many forms that locomotive designers and builders evolved in putting these mechanical parts together were, and still are, most stimulating and amazing in their variety…. fueled with nothing more than wood from our forests and raw coal from beneath our earth, our early steam locomotives forged a new country into a closely knit, free and prosperous nation.
