For a treasured gift or your own personal collection; select one or create a set of 2, 4, 6 or more from 21 themed Collections totaling more than 500 contemporary and fine art designs. Made from eco-friendly recycled cork from Portugal and Spain, yet handcrafted in the U.S.A. GrafixMats® are so artfully designed and intriguing, we've created a hanging hole in the back of each coaster.

The Back Story:
The Big Four
Collis P. Huntington, Leland Stanford, Charles Crocker and Mark Hopkins, The Big Four, built the Central Pacific Railroad and developed California’s railroad system between 1861 and 1900. They headed west lured by the Gold Rush where they grew their fortunes through various mercantile businesses. Theodore Judah called them together to discuss a railroad from the west to east. Prompted by the Civil War they invested much of the fortune and energy in building the western part of the first transcontinental railroad and eventually the Big Four controlled an extensive network of railroad enterprises in California.
