The Back Story:

Old Sodus Point

Born February 12, 1809, Abraham Lincoln lived 56 years before his assassination on April 15, 1865. Within this time he would experience the loss of his parents, Nancy & Thomas Lincoln, wed Mary Todd and have 4 children, only one of which, survived until adulthood. Lincoln Revolutionized America, being elected the sixteenth U.S. President on November 6, 1860. He would come to be known for an array of good deeds; abolishing slavery and ending the civil war before his assassination by John Wilkes Booth.

“Fourscore and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal”
