The Back Story:
Sasquatch (Bigfoot)
Since the nineteenth-century, there have been accounts of wild men roaming the darker and more remote forests. Then in northern California reports of a hairy hominid loping through remote woodlands marked Bigfoot’s emergence as a modern marvel and an icon. Yet, a few imaginative naturalists and explorers continue to synthesize historical and indigenous folklore with Darwinian ideas and speculate that a giant hominid might still be roaming in remote areas.
